Young Adults
Seeking therapy as a young adult for life transitions, emotional struggles or relationship issues can be a daunting experience, and you may be feeling like you do not know where to start.
Rest assured that you have landed in the right place. I provide a warm, caring, and safe environment for you to openly discuss your personal challenges without feeling judged.
Sometimes our lives can become stressful and depleting as we use our personal strengths to cope with an array of challenges. Relationship stress, the death of a loved one, career/school choices, or just getting older and becoming more independent can overwhelm our typical functional coping skills, leaving us feeling stuck in our problems. If this sounds like you, you are not alone. These life experiences commonly strain the emotional resources and support systems of even the strongest people. You can overcome your struggles and I am here to help you.
You may feel that you are not getting what you want out of your life and relationships, these are very common feelings for young adults. You don’t have to figure it out alone. When working with young adults I develop a working relationship with you that values your strengths where we can work together to identify roadblocks and practice new skills. As a young adult you enter therapy with your own unique set of challenges, as you are beginning to define who you are in your relationships, work/school and adapting to the changing world around you. With all clients I strive to create an open, non-judgmental environment in which you can feel secure and comfortable to find solutions. Each client continues to impress me with their strength, insight, and courage to tackle any obstacle they bring to therapy. It has been my privilege to work with young adults and witness the growth of their self-identity, as they gain confidence in life path decisions, improvements in communication, and strengthen family and friendship connections that enhance the quality and satisfaction of their lives. I can provide you with the support you need to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
